Fitbit Zip review

I've had a Fitbit for a few weeks now and I have to say I love it!   It's convenient and I barely notice it's there.

Advantages:
  • Syncs calories burned and step count to SparkPeople.com.
  • SparkPeople.com syncs your entered food to Fitbit.com.
  • Fitbit emails a weekly report to your email that is easy to read and has all the information you want in one location.
Disadvantage:
  • None that I have found, yet.
 Report:
This is a sample of part of the report for a week.  Weight change and Avg. Sleep are determined by manual user entry.  This particular report was missing 2 days worth of calorie data that was sync'd from SparkPeople.com, so the Calories In vs. Out is skewed.

Weekly Update.

Gained some over the last week.  The weekend (Saturday) was bad calorie wise.  Going to have to work on keeping on track during the weekend.

Current Weight:  268.6 (Up .8 lbs.)

Decided to stop tracking my waist at the moment.  It always seemed to fluctuate slightly and was slow to change.  I may report this measurement at the beginning of each month.

I've been investigating Leptin and Leptin Resistance.  There is some very interesting data out there along with the normal supplement products to go with it.  I plan on trying to reduce my Leptin Resistance using nutrition vs. supplements.   I hope to post more later.

Renewed Determination.

I've been bad since my last post.  I totally dropped the ball.  I've started this week to renew my efforts and restarted tracking my caloric intake and exercising.  The big plus, Spring is here and I'll be able to exercise more outdoors.

Current Weight:  267.8 (Up 4 lbs.)
Waist: ??  (didn't measure)

On a side note, I did pick up a Fitbit Zip from my companies wellness site.  It's a neat little gadget.  I may do a review on it to come.
